Title: Happ trackball: push it straight, and it veers left??
Post by: Fat-Johnny on January 13, 2004, 05:22:08 pm
I am having problems with my Happ trackball (not sure of model#......the one that comes standard on SlikStik Classic).  Whevever I push it straight up, it seems like it veers to the left.  I started to notice this when playing Shuuz or World Class Bowling.

I confirmed this in plain ol' Windows.  The cursor is at bottom screen, dead center.   I give the trackball a medium spin (like a medium Golden Tee shot), and the curcor ends up at top of screen, about 2 inches to the left (on my WGD9200)

I opened up the SlikStik Classic, and opened up the trackball.  I dont see anything obvious.  It feels smooth....it just veers left.

Any suggestions, ideas??

one of the rollers is at a 45 degree angle.  Simple physics from there.

Have you broken it in yet? Happ Tballs are made for heavy use, and it takes a good bit of playtime to break one in.

Bob Roberts has a page describing how to accellerate the process.
