For others out here ...
I'm now running Groovymame 170 with the new CRT 2.0 beta 8and a 4800 graphics card and it looks really nice. Installation was way way way easier with the new GUI. Great job!
Looks like I spoke to soon. In Galaga / PAC man style games I'm getting an audio stutter.... Not sure if this has anything to do with this driver or groovymame :(

Yes. I had the exact same issue until turning multithreading on in the mame.ini.

It works (unless you have a single core-P4). Make sure -syncrefresh is not being forced in mame.ini.

Yes, both triplebuffer and syncrefresh should be set to "0" in mame.ini so they're managed automatically by GM.
Post a log, that will show the problem.

OK tested MS Pacman running Groovymame from CMD Prompt. Game plays and sounds perfect. Screen is very stretched
I confirmed syncrefresh and triplebuffer are set to 0

I thought my answer was self-explanatory.
either: Set "resolution auto", "cleanstretch 0" in mame.ini.
or: Create super resolutions from VMMaker.
