I never planned on setting up driving games on my cab until I saw this at Goodwill for $5.

Fired up some games and played with the settings.
1. I get too much play on this wheel. I have already set the joystick deadzone to .05 in the mame.ini file (as recommended here (http://forum.arcadecontrols.com/index.php/topic,105961.0.html)). What do I need to adjust to correct this?
2. Should the Logitech profiler settings for the pedals be combined or separate axis (for MAME)?

I love my old MOMO. Haven't used it in years, but refuse to part with it.
1. Have you tried increasing the sensitivity under analog settings in MAME's in-game menu? (TAB)
This setting will be unique for every game. You just have to experiment. The defaults are set crazy low.
If you give me a specific game, I can give you what I had it set to on my old cab.
2. MAME can work with it either way. It will probably be easier to troubleshoot and understand what's going on if they're set to separate though.
(easier to tell that you need to reverse a pedal axis, etc.).
Keep the automatic centering turned on all the time. It makes the MAME games which don't have force feedback feel much better.
You can go lower than .05 on the deadzone. It's a percentage .05=5% deadzone. .02=2% deadzone. MAME's default .3 is 30%!!
Mine feels a little loose from people lifting themselves in and out of my driving cab with it.
No way to get rid of that slop. :-\

What I've been finding is it's best to keep the pedals split and just merge them for the few oddball pc games that want a combined axis (there aren't many at this point).
