Title: Difference between high lip and standard Trackballs
Post by: MartyKong on February 05, 2016, 10:18:21 pm
There are lots of posts about Reg. and High lip Trackballs. I've read lots of them. The main difference is the "high lip", aka "golden tee" TB, is designed to have the 1/16" mounting plate + 1/8" plexi over it, with the top of the lip level being flush with the  plexi. The standard trackball is designed to have the 1/16" mounting plate even with the control panel with the  1/8" plexi  needed to be beveled back to the C.P.  So I was wondering why most people seem to use the standard (plexi beveled vs the Flush High lip)? But then I realized! Most people have the standard because   -
1) The High lip trackball only comes in the color white. The high lip trackball can't be illuminated?
2) Standard Trackballs come in many colors plus led illuminated. Anything else I am missing? Thanks... ???
