Title: Happy 19th Birthday Mame!
Post by: paigeoliver on February 05, 2016, 12:22:08 pm
The first version of Mame was released 19 years ago today. It supported Pac-Man, Ms Pac-Man, Crush Roller, Pengo and Lady Bug. It had no software license and it was expressly written to play the games, not document them.

Yes thank goodness for MAME... Aaron Giles and all that helped along the way.  It's because of MAME that I have as many dedicated games as I do. Also because of MAME I've been able to repair / resurrect games that would of been forgotten a long long time ago... in a basement far far away. Ironically enough of some of my games I own a dedicated Pac-Man, Ms. Pac-Man, Lady Bug.. Sold Pengo, never had a Crush Roller though.
