I feel very proud to be nominated with such awesome builds.
Good lock guys

Man this one was TOUGH! So many great projects out there. The year 2015 was definitely the year of the bartops!
It was a tie for me:
- NES Bartop by edekoning. That thing is just beautiful! I'm partial to Nintendo and the CP is amazing. The theme all fits together perfectly. Nice and clean and IMHO it beats the pants off of the Genesis theme done previously by another member here. I'd love to build a similar one someday.
- Mini Q*Bert by vwalbridge. At first glance it looks like a full sized machine. But then you realize it's a bartop. What?!? Great attention to detail! Love it.
I wish I could have voted for two, so I flipped a coin! and the NES Bartop won the toss.
P.S. - VJ are you bringing this to Zapcon? That would be sweet! (Or your mini Donkey Kong).
DeL
The rest are great. I would love ALL in my collection if money were no object (would you guys even sell them. Ha ha!).
-
Qbert for me, though these are all excellent builds.
-
Toughest group this one. Love the NES bartop but Moon Patrol is my favourite arcade machine in the world. Bah. Might have to toss coins too...
-
Tough competition! I love that little Q*Bert though.
-
Just curious, why was Q*Bert considered a bartop and not a General Project?
-
This category was too hard, so I just went with the most unique which in my mind was Gas Fire Arcade.
Just curious, why was Q*Bert considered a bartop and not a General Project?
Didn't want vwall competing against himself? Didn't Tully have to do this once?

Owner considered it a bartop, as that's how it's played, kept, etc. It also fit best size wise in this category, too small to be a cabaret, to big to be a proper micro/mini. It was bartop size. A call was made.

Yeah, that shouldn't matter.

Hmmmmm....

Thanks again for the nomination guys :applaud:

I'm a sucker for a pole position cabinet. So if there ends up being just the one vote for it, I guess you know it was me.

This one was pretty easy for me.
-
Toughest category for me, all great builds for different reasons.
-
Several great bartops here, but for me it's an easy vote for the moon patrol.

I'm going to have to throw my vote to edekoning's NES Bartop. I'm a bit of a sucker for the ole Enternment System and I love the way the theme is incorporated.
-
Only a few days left folks! Make sure you
VOTE!

All amazing, but NES took it from the get-go
Q-bert (with knocker) is incredible, but didn't fit the "bartop" definition in my mind. I know, it's small, and can sit on a bar top, but I went solely with what we all know and love as a traditional "bartop" I almost wish Q-Bert was up in the Overall project category or whatever it was called.
-
Arcade fire, because bartops didn't have marquees and this is the only one without a marquee.
-
It was a close call between Arcade Fire, Q-bert and the NES bartop for me. But edekoning's NES bartop's theme was really well done, and I'm proud of him for actually mirroring the side-art this time. ;)

I was pretty sure mine also did not have a marquee, or does a plain logo also count as one? (serious question from a non-native speaker).

Thanks man, and some day I'll make you proud by not mirroring side art ;)
