Well it ive got my cocktail cabinet pretty much completed after adding 2 extra buttons to each six button console and mala works great.
But i need to add 2 possible 3 more buttons so each side has a start and a select button plus i would like to add my coin mech up too so it works and an emu quit button dedicated.
Only problem is im pretty much out of pins for wiring. What i want to know is if i buy another 2player xin mo if the emus and mala will use both control hubs at once.

Yes -- each will be seen as a different game pad - so should not be a problem to have 2 of them in the 1 system. That said How many buttons are you using total ?? With 30 inputs on the Xinmo there should be more than enough for a 2 player setup if done properly ( 2 joysticks take 8 leaving 22 for buttons so even if an 8 player button setup that leaves 6 admin butttons fo player 1 and 2 start and coin buttons and 2 for pause and exit ) and then if additional buttons are needed you can use the extended mappings (see below) to get a few more using impossible multi inputs (ie. cant normally press both up and down on a single joystick so can use that combo press as an admin function input)
Degenetrons posted some directions on extended mappings for the Kade encoder which can also be used for the Xin mo - HERE ( https://sites.google.com/site/degenatrons/controller-interfaces/usb-keyboard-encoder/resources ) - Main thing is to use button combos for the admin buttons that are not going to be input together while in game like Joystick 1 up and joystick 1 down.
Extended Mappings (Advanced)
The extended mapping groups provide support for more buttons by making use of key combinations that are not possible via the arcade controls.
There should be no conflicts e.g. it is not possible to move joystick up and down at same time.
The 5th and 6th buttons for player 2 are not defined as MAME defaults so you will need to update the config or you could add 2 extra buttons to player 1.
These keys and key combinations should be defined in your MAME configuration when using this extended mode.
Key Combination Description
Up Arrow + Down Arrow P1 Start
Left Arrow + Right Arrow P1 Coin
R + F P2 Start
D + G P2 Coin
Up + Down + R + F Cancel (Esc)
Enter Select and also P1 Button 6
C P2 Button 5 (or P1 Button 7)
V P2 Button 6 (or P1 Button 8)

Well i have 1 joystick for each side and 9 buttons. A 1 player start button and 8 regualr buttons for play. I still a single button for each side as a select button then i need a way to add my coin mech and a dedicated button to exit emus (other than mame) back to mala.

What games are you running that have a cocktail mode that have more than 3 buttons?
-
Some capcom games, streetfighter games and such.

Looking at the map that came with my X in more and I see it says none on pin 18 on the p1 side, can this pin be used?

Some capcom games, streetfighter games and such.
Ah, I for some reason thought it would be a traditional cocktail where the people sat across from each other.

Yea thats it like you said just a regular cocktail cabinet where 2 players play head to head. Plus a few emulators just for games on older systems that i never got to play for my own amusement. Main mode is classic arcade games from the OG to mid 90's.
I wish i could play some of the emus in split screen but nobody has made anything that i could find to split a window and double it. Which kinda bothers me. Console emulation has been around for a while now and nobody has fixed this problem? Wuwt?
Heres a pic.....

Just got done setting marvel vs capcom to split and h to h and for both players
Gonna build a better console soon, we made to unscrew off, just have to go around the top edges with a razor, The bottom and sides will be hidden by the wider console.
