Hi all
I have recently been called in to check up on my bosses Rowe ami r83 disco 200 jukebox. It plays well and is a very nice machine. I have however found that the disco control unit is not making the front lights display and sequence flash as it should. I have seen the board and pin congfigurations and I think I am missing the 30vdc to the p2-6 pin out . Were can I find the 30vdc for that pin. I had found 2 wires black and red that are on the p2 plug but when u trace them it was found loose in the cabinet not connected. I really would appreciate any assistance on this as this is my first time doing a breakdown on a jukebox. I have attached a photo of the board.

Hello,
I have a R-83 Disco 200. It looks like the light assembly box is missing on the left hand side. The lights are stuck in the on position. Does anybody know where I can get a light assembly that will allow me to flash the lights, etc.
Thanks!
Jeff

Bruce Wentworth at A & B Jukebox Repair should be able to sell you the light controller assembly:

Thank you for the response. I contacted Bruce last week and he doesn't have it. Any other ideas? Thank you!

This looks great. I'd like to purchase. Will it work on the R-83? Right now the lights are plugged into the "lights" input on the power supply box. How does this item hook up? Will I need extra lighting cable, etc. Thank you for your help.

Sorry it was an R-84 light controller that I had for sale.
If I get offered one on the R-83 controllers I will contact you, sadly they do not turn up very often.

Hello,
I was able to get the lighting control unit. However, I have no idea how to hook it up. Right now, the lights are just plugged into the power supply. Any insight would be much appreciated.
Thanks!

Hi Jeff,
You will need to make two looms one for the 120 volts ac output on connection P1 on the board and the input signal from the amplifier auxillary connections and 30 volts dc and ground from the mute connection plug. This is connection P2 on the board.
If you download the R-83 Disco 200 supplement link already given earlier in the topic, look at the schematic on page 14 this should give you an insight.

Sorry... I have some time so I'd like to work on this again. I'm still a bit confused. Can you tell me exactly where the cords coming out of P1 and P2 go into? Any insight would be greatly appreciated. The schematic doesn't make much sense to me. Thanks again for your help.
Thanks!
