Title: Street Fighter 2 Championship Edition button colors?
Post by: Pickles on January 28, 2016, 12:35:32 am
Restoring a SF2 CE and wondering if anyone knows for sure the order of the colors originally? From pictures on Google it looks like it's low = red, medium = white, fierce = blue.

Are far as I know mine looks untouched and it looks like this. Just seeing if anyone remembers or has original pictures of the game from 1992. Thanks in advance for the help!

I believe they came white -> blue -> red but everyone changes them to red -> white -> blue because ya know, USA

According to the Japanese  SFII flyer,  it goes Blue ->Yellow -> Red

In the end, it doesnt really matter what order the RW&B are, so long as its the same for both players.

Had a look at the manuals and it doesn't look like any of the SF2 ones specify the order.

To confuse things further:

Following games like SF3, EX, etc go Red Green Blue in the manual.

This is the way I remember it too.

White-Blue-Red

I've always seen red white blue.  Mine came that way and I left it.  Without the manual specifying, I bet all combinations existed including random colors that operators had available.  If capcom didn't actually specify, it seems like there is no wrong way to do it.  So whatever the machine you played on had, do it and be right.
