I think its kinda like how you guys say "Vids" as short for "Video Games", it the same with us, were we'd say "Arcades" short for "Arcade Games".

It's not.
It's more like:
"Old enough that the word will always mean a place you go to play games"
vs
"young enough to never have had to go to a dedicated place of business just to play cutting edge games"

Definitely not.
"Arcades" is noob terminology amongst all of the Canadian collectors I know. Usage typically earns enough of a ribbing that you never do it again.
But maybe it's a thing in communities where you drive 24 hours just to pick up another red tent (really Chance, you're starting to look like noice and his Moppets).

James has 5 arcade games.
Tim has 7 games.
Steve has 8 games. He has 5 pins and 3 vids.
Lou owns 3 arcades. Two are in a strip mall, and one is by the freeway. He has 30 games or so in each.

I would have liked them to have filmed the Arcade they toured (that's the building with the vids and pins), but I get it, It must be hard to show up to some Reginian and say "hey can I film you for my youtube channel that is overly discussed at various dark corners of the interwebz." It's a tough sell I'm sure.

Nah, I get it. Red tents look unlike a standard cab without looking ridiculous. And they are red. And Nintendo.
I commend Chance for cornering the Canadian market of Red Tents. Savvy move.
And I don't care if you call arcade cabinets "arcades." That's a reasonable faux pas. I just wish you Canucks would stop calling garbage disposals "garburators."

The simple definition for arcade is " a place with many games that can be played by putting coins in them"
Someone saying "Oh you have an arcade game" is technically perfect, but I don't mind "Oh, you have an arcade". I have 5 games. Not sure if that would qualify as "many games", but since they are mame, they play 100's of games, which definitely qualifies as "many games" but I don't have to put coins in them, so if we are going to be technical I guess it would never be an arcade? This is confusing. I'll just stick with being ok with either Arcade or Arcade Game.
