Title: crt_emudriver and ArcadeVGA?
Post by: emubastard on January 27, 2016, 01:06:22 pm
So I have an ArcadeVGA 5000 collecting dust.  Never ended up using it because I'm using crt_emudriver with various compatible ATI cards.

Wanted to know that, despite the ArcadeVGA's so called features and modifications, can crt_emudriver work for custom reoslutions on it just like the other supported ATI cards?

Come on now, someone on here has tried it.  That was the point!

I will try it if no one else has.

If someone has tried, he didn't post about it, I'd know. My understanding is, it will work provided it gets the drivers installed, but its predefined modes will be marked as "native", so read-only. But as long as you override those with custom ones made by VMMaker, it should work just like any other card. You'd need to match each predefined mode exactly with a custom one, then you'd be free to add any other modes that you want.

Hmmm I never thought about this. I might give it a try soon, when I have some time.
