Title: Maximus Arcade/Stella - Rom launcher appears when selecting a game... help!

I have tried various versions of Stella, and settings within, but every time I choose a game through Maximus, the Stella rom launcher appears.  What can I do?  I'm certain that I've gotten it to work in the past, and I don't wanna mess with Mess.  I need an a2600 solution.  TY!!!
