Title: RoweAMI MM6
Post by: rockola448 on January 18, 2016, 08:55:06 pm
I am a novice Rockola repairman with one successful repair under my belt.  A friend had me look at a Rowe AMI mm6 jukebox with the following issue.  When tone reaches inside of record and ejects, gripper arm grabs record and moves it into spot on carousel.  As soon as it releases it it grabs the record again and returns to turntable and plays it again.  This goes on forever.

Microswitches on left side seemed to be working when tested with ohmeter.  After looking at manual I'm thinking an adjustment to the cam is necessary but would like experienced advice.  Thanks,  Jeff

Hello Jeff,

Welcome to the forum.

Before you start adjusting the cam switches, check that the stop plate assembly is resetting the search unit pins.

After you have checked out the above and eliminated it as a posibility then look at the manual and adjust the micro switches as per the manual.

I know a number of people change the switches as a matter of course, in over 35 years of working on the hundreds of 1100/1200 mechanisms I have worked on this time, I have only replaced switches when they have been broken or someone has had oil or some other lubricant on them.

Only lubricate where directed and only sparingly (usually one drop) to idlerwheel linkage, turntable shaft, oil wicks on the motors (transfer and mechanism miotors) and the top bearing and oil tube on the turntable motor.

Regards
Alan
