Title: WG U5000 slight color isssue....

Hey guys, I have a 25" u5000 and it has some discoloring on the top left of the screen. Naturally I degaussed it (I didn't have one so I used a powerful magnet and a drill). It works very well eliminating the discolored section of the screen but it returns every time I boot up the machine again. What could cause this. I don't mind degaussing it but it's getting a bit tiresome. Other that the top left corner the colors look great on the monitor.

either the degauss circuit is not working(ptc dead) or you have a magnetised bolt in that corner or a electromagnetic source near that corner

Hmmm... I thought it could be a magnetized bolt. any way to un-magnetize it?

yeah,take the bolt out

if you rotate the machine 90 degress does the issue change or clear up?
