Ok guys, I bought to used RTR cabinets. I found the monitors where bad, so I have to convert them to CRT, spent 5 day figuring out the CRT to LCD converter was bad out the box. Them the the power supply was bad... The the board was bad. NOW its all up and running, EXCEPT the about button doesn't work, the 3rd gear doesn't work, AND the breaks are on all the time......
Can someone please tell me how to fix, check or what ever i can do to them. Also how can I check the abort button out?
Thanks =(

I was hoping someone with experience working on one would chime in, but since they haven't.....
The button either has to be the microswitch or the wiring from the microswitch to the board.
Easy enough to troubleshoot. If you don't have a multimeter already, buy a cheap one and test for continuity.
The shifter also has to either be a microswitch or the wiring from it.
On the brakes, it sounds like the potentiometer is bad.
If the brakes on the game release when you press down on the brake pedal, then the wiring on the two outer tabs of the potentiometer are reversed.
If you haven't already, find an owners manual online.
