Description (from KLOV (http://www.arcade-museum.com/game_detail.php?game_id=7189)): This is one of the most humorous shooters ever by Data East. One biplane had a hook at the rear with which you could swing it to catch lots of things in the scenery like enemies. One other particularity was that, if your plane was hit two times, it was destroyed and you then had to continue on foot. You could then take all kinds of vehicles like a bike, elephant, pogostick, etc. The stages were a museum with dinosaur skeletons, a fair with a mechanical Santa Claus turning into Satan Claus, etc.

I've never played this one, but it is hilarious and awesome! (Did i see the Blues Brothers on the roof of the Detroit Rock City stage?) :lol
-
I'm hoping to have my 8-way machine done soon, so I can join in the fun. I'll have to try this one out with the 360 controller for now
-
A lot different from what im used to lol
Im catching myself paying more attention of where im swinging my hook rather than worring about where im going...

This game REALLY needs an 8-way stick. Getting stuff swinging using the WASD keys just doesn't cut it, haha.

Wow. I'm going to keep plugging away, but you may have me there. Did you clear 3 stages with that score?

Not that it has helped me all that much.

223? :applaud:
my goodness. I was going to give it another go in a day or two, but i don't know. I'm getting some real pain and soreness in my hands after i played for a few days in a row. I may just defend 2nd place should the need arise, haha.
GREAT score, though! On a joystick and buttons i presume, as this is the most button mashing shooter i've EVER played! Getting that electric storm attack going when you need it requires lightning hands!

If you can sustain it for awhile the lightning is incredibly strong.
I tried the game with auto-fire and realized how invincible the lightning makes you. Scored over 300k through just two stages.

I'm getting that, too. That's why I don't like button-mashers. I sure hope that the next game won't be another one.

I'm using a gamepad. It's more comfy to sit in front of the PC than standing in front of the cab :)

I have no idea how you people are getting anywhere in this game! Once, I got to stage 2, but immediately died from...I don't even remember. Normally, I bite it early into stage 1. Most of the time, my scores don't even register, they're so terrible! :(
-
I started getting decent scores when I realized that the ground targets were often the more dangerous targets.
Before that, my eyes were naturally focused on the airborne enemies, a la traditional shooters.
Just my 2c, though.

I gave this a few more tries, didn't beat my score, and only ended up sore. I think I'm done with this one, officially.
I must say though, what a hilarious game premise. So much fun.

A little incentive to get you back in the game -- 201,700
SO you need to get back in if you want 2nd -- or you get to stop now and have to come up with the next game pick !!

Oh frig. And only one day left, too. We'll see. (Although if it weren't for button mashing, I'd be OK with third, since it doesn't look like this contest has seen DK3 yet, haha)
But alas, I will give it a final try tomorrow. The only time I'll have will be late in the day, too.
Here's hoping.

Yeah the button pressing does make it a bit hard on the hands ( I'm playing on my desktop system with the wireless keyboard using the arrow keys and S for button 1 and D for button 2 so my fingers are getting pretty good workouts )
