Title: Hard drive cooling fan?
Post by: Duhjoker on January 09, 2016, 04:40:38 pm
I installed a 52cfm double fan unit into my cocktail cabinet yesterday. Its super quiet and i can feel the air moving under the glass keeping the LED cool. But before i went to bed last night i opened the coin mech door to check on everything, i noticed that the hard drive is getting pretty hot.

I was wondering if i could get some help picking out the right cooler. Only problem is my computers harness has no extra connections or pins. So i need something that can be powered by the USB.

Why not just split one of the power connectors to get what you need so you can use a regular fan? They have premade y cables that will split one for you

Are you running some frontend that accesses the hard drive constantly or something?
