Title: Questions about sound effects in MaLa (Layout specific)
Post by: mike boss on January 08, 2016, 09:25:58 am
I've made many a layouts.
And on one of my cabinets I've included sound effects,
as well as using the Arcade Ambiance Project (which is AWESOME!).
I promised I would create a master sound set....which I will do ONE DAY.
But to date I have not.

I'm wondering can MaLa have a specific sound set for an individual layout ?
IE - 3 layouts, 3 sound sets ? Also does anyone know if a layout can have specific
background music ?

I'm looking to create a custom layout with PacMan background music and PacMan sound effects.

So today I completed a custom PacMan layout with soundeffects and background music.
In the MaLa layout editor you do have an option to create the layout with sound effects (and I assume this is layout specific).
On the MaLa menu in the options I selected "enable audio other than videos" (I forget the exact wording), and under GUI I selected the music options from the layout. Again I forget the exact wording.

However when I boot up Mala and load the layout no sound effects. Am I missing something ? Anyone have this issue ?

I created a folder in the specific layout itself, one for sound effects, one for background music.

Take all sound effects, bm,  out of their folders....just put them in the layout folder ......
