Title: N.E.S. Goodness
Post by: geomartin on December 29, 2015, 06:38:17 pm
My oldest boys have moved out over the last couple of months, finally leaving me some space for a new game room.  I commandeered one old bedroom for the classic console collection and finally unpacked it all after years of storage.  Totally bummed that the N.E.S. boots fine, but would not receive any input from the controller or light gun that I have.

I was just about ready to give up when I spotted an old N.E.S. controller at our local used game store and for $2.99 decided to give it a try.  We are back to N.E.S. goodness once again.

Now if I can just figure out why both the original controller and light gun stopped working...

First of all, when you say N.E.S. are you refering to an original Nintendo?  I don't think I've ever seen it actually initialized like that...

As for the zapper, those types of zappers only work on CRT TVs.  If you are trying to use it on an LCD/Plasma/DLP/Etc it won't work.
