I recently bought a used megatouch EVO and when I got it, its doesn't work. When I turn it on the fan works and it starts to load, it says no signal and then goes to a page that says "force intelligent entertainment press TAB to show POST screen, DEL to enter SETUP "and then it just freezes up on that page. I tried hooking up a keyboard to the back to see if that would work and still nothing. Does anyone know anything about these machines? Any info would be great considering I do not know anything about them.

Press DEL to get into setup. Can you see if the hard drive is being detected?

I had one that did this until I replaced the motherboard battery. Pull the battery and check it's voltage.
After replacing/keeping the battery, set DIP switch 8 on the IO board to the down position. This should reload the CMOS setting and do a test of the system.
I'm not expert, but this has worked for me in the past.

a failed drive or bad drive cable can cause the computer to sit and wait endlessly for the drive to become available.
have a listen to the harddrive...it should spin up...click a few times then be ready. if it clicks clicks clicks it's toast. if it sounds like it's not spinning up...check your power supply. it should have 12 volts and 5 volts. if it's good. the motor on the drive is probably toast.

Any good, inexpensive SSDs out there? lol

i'v had hit and miss experience with SSD's and megatouch. I haven't tried in a while...but the way the megatouch runs.... puts a lot of reading stress on an SSD. the constant reading of the NAND wears it out very quickly and makes it susceptible to failure and corruption. modern SSD's are a lot better at autonomously fixing issues on the fly so it might not be much of an issue with a brand new modern SSD.
