Does anyone recognise what team this guernsey is from? Anyone in Australia will recognise this guy as Jimmy Barnes, from the band Cold Chisel. They were huge back in their day, but never quite making it big overseas (a bit like Aerosmith, until they hooked up with Run DMC).
Anyway, I always assumed it was a major Australian rugby team from back in the day (early 80's) but it turns out no one here knows where it comes from, including Jimmy! Apparently he picked it up in an op shop or something. Cold Chisel was so big there is absolutely no way it would be from any team in Australia and not be known by fans. My guess it came from a backpacker from overseas, hence the question. I have a hunch it will be a county team or equivalent from the UK or France or Italy etc. Argentina maybe.
Anyway, I'm posting this on any international flavoured forums I'm on just in case someone recognises it from their home town 8)

Looks like vintage marks and sparks.

Now there's a thought. Of course, if true it's even less likely to ever be discovered.

Well this is probably how the singer got his in the first place! This is not a search for just a guernsey, but the origin. If it was a football team, which one? My friend who is a massive Cold Chisel fan, was amongst a group of people who got together to get 200 or 300 guernseys reproduced. That is when I discovered how mysterious it actually is.
