Title: Rowe AMI R83 DISCO 200 juke box s too loud
Post by: pdeviney on December 14, 2015, 04:39:36 pm
Hello,

I have a Rowe AMI R83 DISCO 200 juke box.  I purchased it used in working condition.  I brought it home and everything was working and then started having problems with the volume being too high. When you turn the volume knob now it the volume will not really go lower.  I replaced the volume and it still has he same problem.  Any Ideas on where to start.  Thanks.

Hello and welcome to the forum.

More than likely there is a fault on the pre-amplifier in your 125 watt amplifier assuming it is still fitted with the original amplifier.

I suggest that you send it to a Rowe Ami specalist, I undertake repairs within Europe and will undertake repairs worldwide but sending an amplifier by carrier can be expensive.

Regards
Alan
