Title: What snes emu to use for a vertical cab?
Post by: ivwshane on December 10, 2015, 07:42:44 pm
I have a vertical cab and I'm trying to figure out how to get snes working on it. I've tried both snes9x and znes but neither seem to have a screen rotation option.

Any help?

I just decided to redo the layout and rotate windows instead of having mala and mame auto rotate. Now I just need to figure out how to configure a snes emulator to look right.

Sound like you already figured out your own problem but if not, check out RetroArch.

It's the only Emulator front end out there that I know of that lets you rotate a NES/SNES screen 90 degrees.

Is it available on windows? I've only used it on pi installations and it wasn't the easiest thing to use.

I didn't solve my problem but I did find a solution. I've decided to run windows in portrait mode and I simply recreated my layout to fit.

yes, retroarch works on Windows.

You can learn how to set it up here:
