Title: Programming Emulators to work with Control Panel on New Cab..
Post by: R0CK632 on December 09, 2015, 05:35:12 pm
Im having some issues trying to program all these different emulators I have to work with my xarcade encoder from the Xarcade DIY kit I purhcased for my cab.  The issues Iam running into is I can set up most of the buttons to work through the emulators but Iam having issues trying to get the emulators to close and exit back to hyper spin when i want to play something else.  I cannot figure out to get KEGA Fusion to exit, Nestopia doesn't save my exit command and reverts back to Esc.  I guess a simply solution would be is there an easy way to change my button which is set to the "C" command (which i want to use for escape) and change is so that so when i push it it registers as escape? Any help would be appreciated.

Well, you could always just use RetroArch.  That uses a unified control scheme shared among all emulators, but it also allows per emulator control sets.

In that case, I recommend learning about AutoHotKey.  Amazingly flexible and powerful utility that will allow you to do what you need.

You need to get the EXACT version of the emulator that is supported by Hyperspin.  Open RocketLauncher and check under the modules.  You can view the text file and it will list what version works properly.  Hyperspin will do the rest automatically.

do you have a 32 or 64 bit OS?

Here is a working link (in the description).  Seriously try to get retroarch working, its the easiest and best emulator out there once you figure it out.

It would be a lot easier if you used ESC to exit.  I don't think rocketlauncher allows you to change the exit key, assuming you're using rocketlauncher.  But in the modules settings you can get rocketlauncher/hyperlaunch to send and ALT-F4 signal instead of the default.
