I have an R-90 Rowe jukebox. Although it's old and probably needs some service, it still has played the 45's just fine until about a year ago. It started dragging, so listening to it is aweful. Any thoughts on what is wrong and how it could be repaired?

Hi Anna,
Welcome to the forum.
R-90 vertually made yesterday.
I think you need to check the stylus and the cartridge, check the stylus for wear and replace, it should be a Shure N44C (the cartridge will be marked Rowe Ami or M44C). The outer plastic part of the cartridge that is screwed to the tone arm can become unstuck from the metal inner part of the catridge, if this is the case just glue it back into position.
Check that the tone arm arm cable is not catching at the back of the tone arm and there is free movement of the tone arm.
Please let us know how you get on.
Regards
Alan
