I have a 98 golden tee, and the monitor is ( i think these are the right numbers) WGEC 088x0407-001. when the monitor comes on the picture is great, but after approx 15-25 minutes the monitor starts to get a white cast. Thia makes the screen almost unreadable and you cant play the game hardly. Can anyone please give me a little help or some tips. Thanks in advance.

Those are not the model numbers. The numbers you provided sound more like a Wells-Gardner part number for a picture tube. All W-G model numbers have a "K" in it like 25K7191 as an example.

ty ken, any word what the problem may be?

Just from generalizations you probably need to install a capkit in this monitor.

are you sure it's the monitor?
I had a couple of golden tee's and they can cause problems.
If you have another Jamma board, put it in and see if the monitor does the same thing.

Thanks all... Heres what I have to report, It faded to a whiteish color with all years of golden tee in unit. The good news is that I made some adjustment to the 2 control adjustments that are mounted vertically, which I believe are the focus and the screen(?) adjustment and it seemed to take pretty good care of the problem. Does this seem to make sense to any of you gurus out there? This is the first time that I have ever had the back off the Golden Tee unit. Thanks in advance.

Yes, the "screen" control is kind of a 'rough' brightness control. As components age their values drift thus requiring some adjustments that's why there's screen controls, brightness, contrast, etc. Sounds like you got things fixed.
