I'm too damned fed-up to keep Googling and you kids seem to be all about the blingity-bling on your CPs.
I have decided to abandon doing custom artwork for my MultiExidy 440 cabinet. There are now good options for repro art for Exidy 440 games. My cabinet is an original Cheyenne. Some people are using a mix of original art (Cheyenne marquee, Crossbow CPO, etc) but I am leaning towards an all-Chiller art package.

I think that a Chiller CPO needs a lit translucent start button. I am thinking purple, although green is a possible alternative (and I have a source for green).
I haven't found a translucent purple button suitable for installation in a 3/4" thick panel.
Anybody know where/if these exist?
Thanks.
PS - I would also love purple coin reject buttons that fit an Exidy coin door, but I am 99.99999% sure those don't exist.

Dude, i'm super jealous that you have that. Crossbow was one of my favorite old school shooters..One of these is on my list to eventually possess for sure.
It would be cool if there was an option to quarter out the art. Each quadrant would represent the games, with a seamless blend between them. Perhaps one of the fine fine PS folks here might be able to help with that.

I'm sure someone must have tried firing a blue led behind a red button or reject, lit up should give you purple (red + blue = purple)
Alternatively you could get RGB LEDs and just power the R and B to give you pure purple and put that behind white buttons.
You may find stock purple rejects from a 4 player TMNT?

Just remembered the Magneto Cab - http://forum.arcadecontrols.com/index.php/topic,119175.80.html
He looked into purple buttons

Plastics will filter light, so red button + blue light (most likely) != purple, but going clear with RGB LEDs would work and wouldn't look like a half-assed compromise. Hmm.
IIRC, TMNT cabs used a pair of Coin Controls mini-over/unders with the standard red rejects, although I have seen people's restorations with a single 4-slot Happ door with coloured rejects. Too bad, because Exidy used those Coin Control doors (so the reject size would be the same), but I haven't seen a TMNT with those door AND coloured rejects.
I am not willing to futz with the door beyond changing out the inserts and changing the bulbs to LEDs.
I am toying with the going green if I can find green reject buttons, but if I can find clear reject buttons, I think your RGB LED suggestion will be the winner.
Thanks!

Adding this to the thread for posterity and completeness as it has all the research for coloured coin control reject buttons:

And -- for now -- a closing update to this thread.
There don't seem to be any translucent purple pushbuttons that are geared for 3/4" wood CPs. Also, no coloured coin reject buttons for the old Coin Controls (not CoinCo ... important distinction) doors (where coin clot is part of the reject button) other than the standard red with exceptions for amber or lime replacements that may/may not fit but are most certainly not purple.

But there are :)
I have NG2's (CLASSX button type)in purple, and with the Helio9 lighting, they look quite nice. You'd need an LED controller, or some additional resistors to tune the lighting color, but they are definitely purple. They are even leaf switch compatible.

Title says blue but they look more purple to me. Little pricey with shipping. I have ordered them and they seem more purple to me lit up.

Thanks -- I have a couple of these and not quite the purple I want.

Thanks Randy.
I am actually loving the look of your Spectra Eclipse buttons. A lit purple bezel is exactly the right degree of classy for what I want on this cab.

Having said that, it makes the current lighting of the coin reject buttons (which double as "Pause" and "CoinUp") look like ass.
Wonder if somebody has an interest is casting/printing a couple of clear reject buttons for an Exidy coindoor. Might have to do that myself. Hmm.

You might try PMing Cudbur of cuddleburrito.com, he seems to enjoy the challenge of creating and casting/printing things.
