Title: MA cut off screen
Post by: Hiren on December 01, 2015, 09:26:35 am
Hi, i have this problem from the first time i booted MA up and it's this fix position. It has nothing to do with this monitor. Everything outside of MA work perfect, is there anyway to fix this? After four days of trying to figure it out. I'm stumped, and not the most literate when it comes to technical jargon. Thanks.

agree need to change the resolution in MA. CTRL-P while it is running will get you into the preferences.

I have done that, and while its the optimal way right now. It makes it small and still off center.

I switched from 1920x1080 to 1280x1024

so both MA and your desktop resolution are now 1280x1024?

nope, just Maximus. When i select 1280x1024 on my monitor and start Maximus, it bleeds on to my second screen. I know what you're thinking, unplug the second monitor. Normally I would, but eventually it's going to be on a living room tv.

how are the monitors setup. it almost sounds like you have an extended desktop which would cause MA to not look right if both monitors have diff resolutions. course you could always just disconnect one for now just to test it. I'm still lost on why there is two hooked up if you will be later putting on an HDTV that would handle the 1080p resolution just fine.

side by side monitor setup, main monitor 1920x1080 and the second monitor is to the right 1680x1050. With the setup right now, it saves me going back and forth, in case something crashes or I need to add an Emu, rom, theme, etc.

well depending on how its setup in windows i think the two monitor setup might be whats causing your issues with MA being off center. i have been unable to recreate your issue. even with the monitors set diff i still have no issue like your self. it almost doesnt sound like an issue with MA but with the setup and how its handling the two monitors. I would say unplug the second screen start MA and see if it goes to normal if it still is off center then we know it maybe with MA

in order to get the same issue i had to make two monitors work as one in an eyefinity display instead of extended desktop. so you might be able to play with how they setup to get it to work. what video card you using?

I dont think it would be but it could be defaulting to use the two monitors as one big screen.
