Title: Mortal kombat 2 / 3, nba jam / hangtime board level volume
Post by: deezdrama on November 23, 2015, 12:32:08 am
mk2,mk3,nba jame etc seemed to ship with there volume levels down. I didnt even know it but stumbled across a in game (not mame) rom level volume control in mk2 when hitting tab to edit inputs.
It popped up a in game volume control that I could turn up bringing mk2's sound level to normal. It even stays that way when exiting and reloading.

I cant duplicate this again though, and wondering if it works in the nba jam/hangtime games?

Anyone know how to access it again?

the tilde key ` next to number one also you can use the F2 key to access the internal volume for the game. or you can hit - and + on the keyboard.

That only brings up the mame master audio level which is already up all the way and still can barely hear certain games.

I had to tab, turn on test switch in mame options..... then was able to turn up the games "onboard" volume. It is all the way down by default for me on the mk's and nba games.

Ive seen this volume issue complained about alot but never seen this explained other than turn up mames master volume which wont help.

Maybe this will help someone.  :dunno

F2 is the test switch which gets you into the bios. and the - and + keys for some games will adjust the bios volume while in game, yea i know for KI and UMK3 if you turn the volume up too high you start to get crackling sounds
