Hello- I recently purchased 2 Rowe Jukeboxes - an R-88 and R-91.
Neither of them have an amplifier, and the R-91 is missing the control board, while the R-88 is missing the tone arm.
I am wondering if the control boards are interchangeable, are the tone arms interchangeable?
- What amps are needed or would work for each of these?
Any thoughts or suggestions?
Thanks

Thanks- do you have any idea where/ if there is a round to square connector adapter for those amps? I have found a few amps with round connectors, but both of mine have the square?

Hello irishflynn,
Welcome to the forum.
The technology changed from the R-88 to R-89 9the R-91 is two models up from the R-89)
The Mechanism Controls are slightly different (they have trimmers for adjusting the home & index electronically)and the R-89 onwards used a different opto switch and the CCC changed to the smaller type.
Yes you can swap over the tone arms.

Thanks Ken and Alan-
I looked at the links sent- however, since I don't have any amps, I'm not certain I can purchase one as that site looks to be an exchange only. Would the CD100 type amps be an option? I realize they are 250 watts- up from the 130 watt that I think was used with these machines, but it appears that they may work - plug wise?
Thanks very much for your help and assistance- it is very much appreciated.

Hi Tim,
Yes you can use the 250 watt CD amplifiers, but make sure that the phono shorting plug is present (the three pin molex plug) this is a good indication that the Pre-Amplifier board has components fitted to support use on a vinyl jukebox, some of the pre amps did not support use on vinyl so be careful.
If you use a 250 watt amplifier use the lower E tapping numbers on the output package I would use E3 or E4 on left and right rather than the maximum E6 tappings.
