I am running Windows 7 , I have a D9200 monitor , My Frontend is Hyperspin , I Installed EmuDriver , Ran Vmmaker as Admin, and Arcade OSD as admin too. Vmmaker generates 120 modes I know Hyperspin may crash although that has not happened. When I go into Hyperspin my default resolution of 640X480 does not change when I change the Mame games. What the hell am I doing wrong, I'm sorry I read everything I could and Im not getting it done. Can someone help . Thanks

try running a game out side of HS and see what happens (post a log if it fails)
Are you running groovymame as admin as well?

Groovy MAME: Installation and quick configuration (http://geedorah.com/eiusdemmodi/forum/viewtopic.php?id=290)
As Sledge says, first figure out GroovyMAME. Run games from command line, make sure it works. If it doesn't, post a log.
Once you have it running, start configuring a frontend.

AH HA . It worked running just Groovymame . Switched Resolutions on all the games I tested. So I guess its a Hyperspin problem that i need to deal with . So just to recap. to work with Windows 7 and Hyperspin ,
I need to Run Vmmaker in "Test mode" in admin mode just once. don't restart .
Then go to arcadeOSD and run in admin mode select and set 640 X 480 as my desktop mode.
Do I do the just once ?
Also, Is this the error in Hyperspin if you have too many modes?

Why would you do it twice? Once you have the modes installed and the desktop with a proper resolution, there's no point in running VMMaker unless you need to modify the mode list for some reason.

When you have too many modes (too many for HS), HS simply doesn't start, silently.
Consider giving a try to other frontends too, like Attract Mode.

Hi , I figured it out. Hyperspin was pointing to just regular Mame and not GroovyMame. It works now. Thanks
