Any particularly good deals to look at?
if you click here (http://www.aliexpress.com/wholesale?shipCountry=np&shipFromCountry=&shipCompanies=&SearchText=arcade&exception=&minPrice=&maxPrice=&minQuantity=&maxQuantity=&isFreeShip=n&isFavorite=n&isRtl=n&isOnSale=all&isBigSale=y&similar_style=n&similar_style_id=&CatId=0&g=y&initiative_id=SB_20151111062726&needQuery=y) you can see all the arcade stuff on sale with the % off in a red tag.
Most deals are 10% but they go up to 50%.
I should note that living in Nepal my shipping from china is usually a lot less. It may not be as good a deal if you don't get good shipping options.

Just bought a bunch of junk...
Is this "Chinese Black Friday" thing something they had every year or is it a relatively new thing?

11.11 happens every year, its single people day. It seems to be in the last few years that it has become a online shopping day. From what little I know about it the the thinking behind the sale's is you earned it so spend some money on your self.
That let us know how it works out with the sanwa's. The regular price is still a deal at just above $20 per unit.

This (http://www.aliexpress.com/item/Advanced-Front-Entry-CPU-Coin-Selector-coin-Acceptor-LK400M-for-Vending-machines-Arcade-machines-free-shipping/32334015747.html?spm=2114.01020208.0.997.XFrMnW) is a good pick up for our Canadian friends.
This is not the best deal but it comes with a cheep encoder that works on the XBOX 360, PS2, & PS3. I wonder how long thats been a thing.

Is there a way to know if those are those *real* Sanwa sticks? I've bought some good stuff from Aliexpress, but some dealers still sell counterfeit garbage over there. Not so long ago I purchased some "Nakamichi" banan plugs for my amp that were very obviously not real ones (they are pretty fine otherwise, mind you), so I'm kind of wary of awesome deals on Japanese stuff.

Beware of the "Rocky" version of Pandora's box 3. Get one that clearly shows the words "Pandora's Box" on the angled case, not just the sticker. Those are the ones MOST people are happy with, but I haven't played the good one myself. From what I can see, they are not available in the $45 range, but more like $70 or so. Many of the vendors with the "Rocky" version are trying to hide it. When they don't show the writing on the case or if they don't show the board at all, then move on. As a general comment on multiboards, I suggest you assume that you are getting a fraction of the listed games. If 520 actually translated into 75 great running games, it would be totally worth it. Even if you only got 1 game that you really want, it would probably still be cheaper than the real board. Also, you will need to alter your jamma harness a bit or get the adapter. The adapter eats into the savings and if you alter your harness, you need to be sure to put things back before you swap out for a real board.
I'm not suggestion anyone avoid the whole thing since it's a cheap gamble if you want to take it, but having realistic expectations and a complete picture is your best chance at being happy with the purchase.

This is just as sad as those DeBeers "you don't need no man to buy you no ring, treat yourself!" commercials they run aimed at the 40 year old spinsters in the US.

That would be sad if some of those old spinster didn't make your head spin in bed. Adds an entirely new meaning to the Tilt-A-Whirl.
