Title: CRT Emudriver won't install? (Win XP)
Post by: ajcrm125 on November 11, 2015, 09:13:31 am: I hoped on over to Calamity's site and downloaded the latest version of the Win32 CRT Enudriver. When I click on install it fires up, unpacks everything and then disappears. Nothing further.
I don't spot a log or anything to indicate why it terminated. Any idea what would cause this or how I can tell what causes it to exit?

That's correct. It's a self extracting compressed file. Go to the driver directory and run Setup.

Before doing that you might want to browse through the VMMaker (http://geedorah.com/eiusdemmodi/forum/viewtopic.php?id=46) and CRT Emudriver (http://geedorah.com/eiusdemmodi/forum/viewtopic.php?id=47) just so you are prepared for the next steps and you can decide on how you want to use VMMaker. You probably want to configure VMMaker.ini and ReslLIST.txt before you install the driver. Doesn't have to be your final version, but something to get you going and test with.

Personally, I would test with regular MAME first after you install everything before moving onto GroovyMAME, but it may depend on what you are doing.

When I execute the Setup program within the drivers folder I can see the Setup program run for a sec and then it terminates.

Which version of the CRT Emu driver?
What Video Card?
Fresh install of Win XP?
Regular XP or one of the tiny builds?

I forget if one of the versions requires at least .net 2.0 to be installed.
