Title: Changing tube to vertical orientation and wacky di
Post by: TDD on July 08, 2002, 02:40:17 am
I have a tube that works fine horizontally, but, as expected, the colors distort when I make it vertical (as it is for a cocktail cabinet).  I have read the following fixes:

1)  Do nothing and let it adjust itself via built in degaussing on the tube

2)  Perform a manual degauss with the appropriate tool to correct the issue

3)  Have the tube's yoke, etc., readjusted for vertical orientation.

Tell me - which is true?  It's a WG U3100, btw.

Try 1) -if it doesn't help (the degaussion-coil on the U3100 is called to be weak), go to step 2 which should always work unless your house is surround from strange magnetics!

3) Nope.
