Title: Powering cabinet help
Post by: sasq40 on November 08, 2015, 11:09:52 pm
Building a bar top unit and using a Old computer for the brain. I cut the back out like weecade for the pcu,  and trying to figure out how to power the monitor,  I was thinking of maybe soldering the plug into the power bar and extending the cable from the power supply to the bar.  Any better ideas appreciated.  Hoping to have just one plug on the back.

A simple and still clean solution would be a tiny power strip inside.. Run both plugs into the strip, and the one power cord from the strip out the back

I've used the power strip method in a few builds, I works really well.

You should post some pictures of the cab/power supply.

However, based on what you are saying, it sounds like you got too far ahead of yourself and don't have a "singular" method for powering everything now.
