Hi all
I'm new to this arcade stuff and bought some IL Euro joysticks. But I'm struggling to fit them. Does anyone know how to remove the actual joystick itself? I understand I may need to remove the C-washer from the base but I don't know an easy way to do this and I'm afraid of breaking or damaging it. This is the joystick: http://www.arcadeworlduk.com/products/il-euro-arcade-joystick-with-cherry-microswitches.html (http://www.arcadeworlduk.com/products/il-euro-arcade-joystick-with-cherry-microswitches.html) and this is my build: https://paultownleyjones.wordpress.com/2015/10/06/how-to-build-an-arcade-machine/ (https://paultownleyjones.wordpress.com/2015/10/06/how-to-build-an-arcade-machine/).
Thanks for any help

hi,
to remove the C-Washer, just use a precision screwdriver to pry it off,
dont worry, the C-Washer wont break, your only worry is you dont lose it, as when you pry them off they tend to fly off like a bullet and disappear in your room somewhere ::)

^^ precisely. Just stick anything thing and small in between the washer and shaft and just pop it out. When u put it back on, push it on as much as u can, then just use some pliers or something and squeeze it until it pops right back in

Thanks both. I will wait until my control panel acrylic arrives so I don't lose the washer in the meantime!
