Title: Did I get ahead of myself? Whats my best option?
Post by: Generic Eric on January 09, 2004, 05:15:20 am
Ok, so I decided I would get started.  I bought 3 sheets of 3/4 MDF, 4 eight foot 2x4's, a bunch of metal L brackets and some screws among other things.  I also ordered a bunch of Joysticks and buttons.

So my deal is that I saw an inspirational cabinet (a render anyhow) which made me realize that I don't have to a "normal" looking cabinet.  Think outside the bun and all of that, ya know?

What is the best way to store the MDF in the Garage is the real question?  Because now I am going to wait a bit before building.

dangit, dangit, son of a gun.

doesnt sound like youve gotten ahead of yourself to me.  regardless of what you build, that mdf you bought should be good.  but if space is your problem.....then....yeah youve got a problem :-)

Stand it on its long edge with some 2x4 between the boards and the floor--make sure there are no bends because after time it will deform your boards.  Keep it dry!  If you can store it flat thats preferable but unless you live at home depot i doubt you have that kind of space.
