Title: few questions about Groovy Arcade
Post by: Haricot42 on November 05, 2015, 06:00:34 am
First a big thanks to arcadecontrols community for bringing so much help to arcade fans.

I have some questions about groovy arcade for the linux experts.

All working nicely ( Ati radeon X1300 + Antarex POLO 29 multifreq) , got native resolution for all mame games  but zSnes doesn't start in true resolution (256x244) but stay in advance menu one(640x480) . Is there a command line to switchres before launching the emulator ?

actually got : emulator "ZSNES" generic "switchres" "snes --emulator zsnes --args %p" in advmenu.rc

and also , is it possible to automatically run a game at cab-startup in advance menu  ?

thanks in advance.

Stéphane A.
Ps : sorry for my very scholar english.

Random game load after booting that will switch to another game every couple of minutes (to prevent screen burn) would be pretty awesome.

I seem to remember that zsnes stopped working with native resolutions upon some library update in Groovy Arcade, long ago. The included alternative, Mednafen, worked pretty well still.

I recorded videos of the attract modes for a bunch of games and Groovy Arcade shows them very well on my Cocktail setup. You just have to create the special video files. They are mng files which are just a bunch of still pictures.
