Title: Cornerstone C1035 clicking buzzing noise
Post by: simcomm on November 04, 2015, 06:21:46 pm
Noob question....

I'm trying to test Groovymame on a PC CRT 21" Cornerstone C1035.

I think I configured it right, but the monitor buzzes and clicks when it changes from the Frontend (Mala) to the game loading.

Is that normal and will it do damage to the monitor?

Are you familiar with that CRT? (I mean, if you've used it before for anything other than gaming). Clicks and other sounds during resolution switching are normal. You can try chaning resolutions from the display properties dialog in Windows and it'll probably be the same. If you're concerned about component ageing, etc., using super resolutions may cut down mode switching a lot.

Are you actually seeing the correct video signal when a game starts?

The below link states that the C1035 monitor only syncs as low as 30KHz.
