Title: Arcade fight stick / retro pi console
Post by: mgb on November 02, 2015, 10:12:18 pm
I came across this stick today. I figured some of the Pi guys would like it.

It is like a regular fight stick that can be jacked into a PC or console but also has a built in Pi running classic consoles on retropie.

The pi is built in and it has an HDMI jack on the back

Yeah I saw that from the pics, but I don't see any connection from the (Ipac?) to the Pi.

Oh yeah I see what you mean.

I would think he just jumps a USB cable from the joystick output USB to one of the 4 pi USB ports

Oh ok, for some reason I thought you built that. Must be getting old LOL.
It would really be neat if it automatically switched the controls to the Pi if nothing is plugged into that joystick USB port.

He's using a pi and a converter board that can automatically detect what system it's hooked up to and emulate a standard controller.

Or this one:

You build the pi like normal and then plug the controller into it, you then have external ports (rj45 or USB ) to connect to other systems while bypassing the pi.
