Title: Electric Ice-T trackball LED wiring / NOVA-TB™ RGB lighting module
Post by: DietCoke on October 20, 2015, 03:16:13 pm
As my project has taken longer than expected to complete some of the parts have moved from place to place while they weren't being used.  The NOVA-TB™ RGB lighting module made for the Electric Ice-T trackball worked great during a test wiring, but the wires have since broken their solder points due to movement.  This is the module:

Could someone let me know the default layout of the four wires in relation to those solder points?  I'd like to avoid rebuilding the jumper and just re-solder the existing wires back on, simply due to me not being good at all with that type of dexterity.

Hi Diet, I'm working on my cab and have the RGB loose but not with me, it's in the garage I'm working in.  If nobody else posts a pic I'll get you one ASAP, probably Thursday.

If you look at the other side of the PCB, you should find labels on the connection points.

But looking at your photo, starting at the top, working downward, the order is:

+5vDC
Red
Green
Blue

Wires are connected to the other side of the PCB (side with the white printing and resistors).

Thanks to both of you!  I'm pretty farsighted so I suspect that's how I overlooked it, but the explanation from Randy answers that question!  And yes, I'll definitely solder to the other side :)
