Is there any differences between the new 2015 version ipac4 and the older versions?
I found the older version cheaper but wondered if I would loose any features or what the difference is.
Thanks

The enhancements on the newer version are:
Supports game controller buttons in addition to keyboard
Supports mouse buttons (some older versions also did this)
Support volume up/down
Support power/sleep/wake
Configuration utility is interactive so always displays the current board settings
I-PAC 2 also supports trackball and spinner but not I-PAC 4.

This is my first build so im not sure yet if I need these features.
The interactive cfg program sounds like its worth the extra $10 so will go with the newer one

Hi Deez,
nearing the end of my build and one thing on the new ipac that i think is helpful is volume control. There are controls inside MAME for game volume but I've found most don't work. If you run your audio to speakers and don't have some way of controlling the volume, add a couple buttons (or use shift function) and you can easily control the volume level.

Is this a mame specific feature or do the majority of emulators support this? Or will it be governed by the frontend I use?
