Title: Is it normal to have a wire from Player 2 to the speakers? WTF

As some of you know I have been redoing a very sloppy wiring job that the last guy left me with.  I was tracing all of the wires one by one and found one that goes from P2 to the back where it splices into the speakers.  Is this normal? all all? lol

ground = ground

I'm guessing the guy thought that both were ground.  But that's incorrect.  Each should have it's own ground wire.
