Title: NES emulator for PSX
Post by: HaRuMaN on January 07, 2004, 10:04:01 pm
Anyone ever heard of this?  I just recently did and I wonder is it a rumor or is it real?  Anyone know where you can get it and if it works on a PS2?

yes its real, and yes it works on PS2.

check out imbnes.gamebase.ca (http://imbnes.gamebase.ca)

For those that have a GBA, check out www.pocketnes.org (http://www.pocketnes.org).

Two mighty damn fine NES emulators, one for home, one for the road!

Ok...  do you know how I can get this to work on my PS2 WITHOUT having to mod it?  I really don't want to mod it.  Is it possible using a game shark?  (It basically looks like a PSX backup to the PS2 and it won't let me play it, it comes up with the red screen).

Site states you can use a boot disk.

Pure boot disk only works on the original PSX with a product called PSX-exchange... or something like that... PSX-change???

Note, I haven't tested it that way, so I am just assuming it works.

As for PS2, I think there may be a  external USB mod with a boot disk... have a look around.

No that I think about it, there is also a product where you replace your PS2 cover with a flip top lid allowing you to swap games without ejecting.  But it too uses a boot disc.
