I just purchased a 1987 Rowe Ami R-91 jukebox
I would like to set it too free play, but the previous owner could not remember how to do it.
Can anyone tell me how to it to free play

Hello & welcome to the forum.
You need to get into programming, at location 27 type in 255 and press the popular button curser through all the other location and then switch of the service switch, turn it back on there should be 255 now in the display which means the jukebox is on free play.

Alan,
Don't have clue what your talking about. Can you please detail the answer more.
Were is location 27 ?
-
One more problem.
it will pick record on and place on turn table, but when it tries to pick it up its falls out of the gripper arm. Is there a adjustment on the gripper arm?
-
Location 27 is in the CCC programming, this is accessable via the service switch in the service position.
Please see your jukebox manual it will show you how to do this.
With regards to your gripper bow, I suggest that you remove it and fully strip it down and clean all the parts in warm soapy water, inspect all the parts for any wear and replace if necessary.

Where can I get a service manual?

Hello Coach6745,
What country do you live in?
If you are in the USA then go onto www.victoryglass.com (http://www.victoryglass.com), in Europe look at www.jukebox-world.de (http://www.jukebox-world.de) or look on Ebay.

Where can I get a service manual?
Coach where are you located. I have the exact same model and just did this on mine about two weeks ago. I would be happy to walk you through it and I could even copy the sections of the manual for you. Just let me know.

Thanks for all your help, I purchased a service manual, we are now on free play, and everything is working perfectly!
