These controls seem like a steal, and the seller claims everything is happ, not Chinese knock-offs.

I almost tripped over myself getting to the "buy it now" button, but I thought it might be too good to be true.
Has anyone seen prices like this? Is it reputable?
Thanks in advance!

Welcome aboard, Acvieluf. ;D
Haven't done business with them personally, but many BYOAC members have reported that Tornado Terry's is a highly reputable seller. ;D

P.S. He's been listed as a vendor in the BYOAC wiki (http://newwiki.arcadecontrols.com/index.php?title=Tornado_Terry%27s) since 2006.

That's pretty much the going rate for a couple competition joysticks and 14 button kit (Other sellers list them lower but then add $10-$15 shipping making the final cost about the same $40 point) - and around $10 more for a jamma harness for wiring or $20-$25 more if you want the Xin mo encoder.
They're decent starter kits and seem to hold up pretty well. I've ordered a couple different ones - latest set was this one ( http://www.ebay.com/itm/171029496400?_trksid=p2057872.m2749.l2649&ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT (http://www.ebay.com/itm/171029496400?_trksid=p2057872.m2749.l2649&ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT) ) THey're not Happ but work just as well (the other set I have from 4PartyFun were Happ for $40 shipped for the same set you linked) and for $42.95 came with the Jamma Harness and 16 buttons instead of 14 - since I liked the joysticks they had a bit better since they had the levers rather than just the microswitch button which makes adjusting the contact points a bit easier for 8-way use.
When placing your order be sure to include a note on which colors you want for the buttons and joystick shafts if they have options (most do but the ones I got only had black joysticks - which is what I wanted anyway ! ) If you do not list them they send a default option which may or may not be what you wanted.

I've bought that kit from Tornado Terry many times for projects. Quality Happ parts, and he's a good guy to work with.

Thanks everyone! I have lurked here for quite a while now, but had never come across that vendor wiki. That'll be helpful for sure.
I'm living in eastern Canada currently, so the going rate for these is actually much higher. And foolish me didn't notice the shipping price until after this post. An extra $35 CAN to ship. That's not at all unreasonable, in fact it's cheaper than some, but it quelled my immediate excitement thinking i was finding it SO much cheaper here.
I suppose i'll have to put a post up on the project announcement page for some details, eh?
Thanks again!

Once you finalize your design and actually start building, yes, start a project thread.

Yes, design finalized, and I already picked up a gutted Zaxxon cab that I'm rehabbing right now. I've never done it before, so its slow going, but it is definitely started. The Mrs will ensure that it doesn't ever stall for very long, ha-ha.

Looks like Terry there needs to STOP trying to use special formatting. That entire ebay listing is all scrunched up. I used three different browsers and saw the same thing on all three.

Tornado Terry's just down the street from me. I've been to his shop a couple times, picked up both of my Happ trackballs from him.
Very decent guy.

I've been down to Terry's to buy parts and an empty cabinet, as well as ordering online. He's a great guy who does great business. His website is terrible, but buying on eBay from him works much better.

terry is an excellent vendor. I bought all my controls off him years ago for my 4 player set up. But that was back when the aussie dollar was sky-rocketing and I got them even cheaper.
welcome to the forum and good luck with your build, ill keep an eye out for it in the project thread

he's my go to for buying stuff in "bulk" for repairing cabs.
