Title: Any tips on how to make my foreground blend with the background?
Post by: menace on September 17, 2015, 10:42:19 am
Here's my CP mockup.  I want to make the foreground pics "grittier" to blend with the background--any tips on which tools/settings to use?  Thanks!

I use the reveal layer mask with a gradient all the time.

My guess is that you want to actually apply a "grunge" affect to the layer, but you could try adjust the opacity to blend it into the background a bit to see if that does what you want.

Here is a page with several links to Gunge Tutorials:

Thanks for the tips!--I ended up adding a scratched steel layer and blending it--not as good as what the pros would do but it took the shine out of the pics and helped blend them to the back ground.
