Title: Do they make a vga inline picture adjuster?
Post by: 800screws on September 15, 2015, 02:20:20 pm
Looking for something that can adjust the picture size with a vga signal.  Move it up/down left/right and its position on the screen/ stretching....is there such a thing

Like the options a cga to vga board has.  Only for vga into the monitor.

I know this is a silly suggestion (since I know what youre using this for) but why not use a signal converter from the atomiswave to VGA then use the converter to adjust the pic?

The converter just won't work with the signal from the atomiswave.  That was my original plan but it's a no go so im looking for another device hopefully

Many of the Extron RGB processors have controls for horizontal and vertical centering. I have the Extron RGB 201 Rxi (http://scarthunter.blogspot.co.nz/2013/05/grab-yourself-extron.html) and it works very well for this. It has a VGA input and BNC outputs.

As for adjusting the size, I can't imagine there will be a solution that doesn't mangle your video signal and introduce all sorts of scaling artifacts. Better to adjust the the H and V directly size on your display if you care about image quality. Less convenient but a better result.
