Good day all, I accidentally miscalculated the plug on the wrong pins after cleaning my happ trackball. I'm guessing it shorted out something. Is this repairable or do I need a new one? I have attached a pic of the board. I'm not that tech savvy but I can follow directions.

It's hard to say but if you're not tech savvy then trouble shooting may be be easy.
You may be best to either get a new board or find someone to fix it for you.
Does it not work at all now?

If it were me, I'd look at the emitters through a camera to see if they still light up (when wired correctly).
If they don't, then I'd check to see if they're still getting power and if there is still continuity across them.
If there is power in, but nothing coming out, I'd assume the emitters are fried and replace them myself.
Anything else, I'd assume that little chip is fried and just buy a new board.

Here is a post that I started a while back about testing a Happ trackball. There is some very good info for testing in there. I couldn't actually see the LEDs working but I got a confirmation by testing the output with a meter. Good luck.

I find some cameras don't show the ir light well.
My old black berry used to be great for it but it never seems to work as well with my iphone
