Title: Monitor shows noise when plugging PC (no turning it on, just plugging).
Post by: buttheadrulesagain on September 02, 2015, 10:14:37 pm
Hello! I am setting up a new PC in my arcade cabinet, but the monitor shows a lot of noise when I plug this new PC to the power outlet (not even turning the PC on). The old PC I had in the cabinet before doesn't have this problem.

Observations: Sometimes the new PC will turn off after seconds of turning on, I have to unplug, plug and try again. Sometimes several times. I tried taking out the mobo and the power source, and placing them on a non-conductive surface, but it still shows noise.

Any input will be greatly appreciated.

Hello buttheadrulesagain
I had the same issue with my mame cab, the power supply from the new pc was a crappy 200w one, i change for a Corsair 430cx, and the picture on the tube is noise free completely, another thing i did before that, was check if ground was properly attached to the computer (3 pin cable) and the chassi arcade monitor too, those 2 steps clear the image completely!

I will totally check on those two things, thanks mate!
